Thieves Walk Out of Westlake Village Guitar Center With $3,000 in Gear

Deputies are asking for help identifying two suspects who fled in a plateless pickup.

Detectives are searching for two men who walked out of the Westlake Village Guitar Center last month with thousands of dollars in unpaid equipment.

The theft took place on July 31, [KTLA is reporting](https://ktla.com/news/local-news/westlake-village-guitar-center-grand-theft-suspects/). The two suspects asked an employee to see several high-end items, including an Akai MPC production station and a Sennheiser wireless in-ear monitoring system.

When the employee went to the back to retrieve another item, the men left the store with the merchandise, the Sheriff's Department said.

Investigators didn't release a value for the stolen goods, though the equipment retails for about $3,000, according to KTLA.

The suspects fled in a gray Ford Ranger pickup with no license plates. Detectives released photos of both men and the truck last week, and are asking anyone with information to contact the Lost Hills Sheriff's Station at 818-878-1808.

It's at least the third theft at the Russell Ranch Rd. store to make headlines in recent years. In April, a crew made off with a haul of high-end guitars from the same location.
