W. Hollywood Eatery Opening Malibu Outpost

The famed Italian restaurant’s Cross Creek outpost will open this year.

Famed West Hollywood restaurant Madeo Mare will open their second location at The Ranch at Cross Creek.

The Malibu Planning Commission voted 4-0 to approve a conditional use permit and Type 47 liquor license for the new restaurant last week.

It’s the second location for the longstanding West Hollywood restaurant, which has sat on Sunset Blvd. since 1985.

Permits show the new eatery will span 2,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space, and will be open 8 a.m. to midnight Sunday through Thursday, and 8 a.m. to 1 a.m., matching what Clark's Oyster Bar and Wally's were previously granted. Outdoor service ends at 11 p.m.

The restaurant is expected to open this year.
