Arson Suspect Detained

The suspect was reportedly trying to start a fire near a tunnel.

Police responded to a report of an arson suspect near a train tunnel off Broadway in Santa Monica around 12:20 p.m. today. Multiple units and a supervisor were reportedly requested for backup as officers converged on the area. The suspect was taken into custody without incident.
