Body Recovered in Water Near Big Rock

Reports suggest the man drowned.

A man’s body was found in the water near Big Rock on Thursday night, [KBUU is reporting.](https://www.malibu.fm/story/mans-body-recovered-from-ocean-at-big-rock-20260724)

Police have yet to release additional information, but it appears the incident is related to reports of a man spotted on a raft in the water in that area around 6:32 p.m.

Callers reported the man was drowning, and lifeguards were involved in a rescue response.
