A man stole the cash from a car at the Westlake Village Inn, before fleeing with a covered license plate.

A man reportedly stole $13,000 in cash from a car at the Westlake Village Inn this morning just after 10:45 a.m.

The suspect fled the scene in a dark-colored Nissan, with the plates covered. He was last observed driving northbound on Westlake Road towards the 101.

Callers indicated a man broke into a vehicle and stole $13,000 in cash before fleeing.

The suspect reportedly left in an SUV with a covered license plate.
