Child Riding Bike Alone on Malibu Canyon Rd.

Callers worried about a young child alone on the roadway south of the tunnel.

Deputies were called to Malibu Canyon Rd. around 6:21 a.m. this morning, after a young child was reported riding a bicycle alone south of the tunnel in Malibu. A welfare check was requested out of concern for the child's safety.

The call reportedly dropped due to poor reception in the canyon. It's unclear if the child was located.
