New Photos From Leonardo DiCaprio's Decade-Long Construction Project
Project renderings show the scope of DiCaprio's stunning modernist compound in Paradise Cove.

Studio Bracket, the architecture firm behind Leonardo DiCaprio’s spectacular new compound taking shape above Paradise Cove, just [released some new photos](https://www.patreon.com/NorthHillcrest/posts/leonardo-50-and-158827841?utm_source=www.stringermalibu.com&utm_medium=newsletter&utm_campaign=malibu-stringer-5-26-26&_bhlid=369e12b2ad125bbe165fa3f7a21ed206c3a6dc1d) of the project, and consider us jealous.
The $50 million project, set across nearly 2 acres of oceanfront hillside close to Geoffrey’s, comprises “a series of bars or boxes, that nest into and step up the hillside,” according to Studio Bracket. The firm, known for its environmentally friendly designs and celebrity clientele, has offices in Bainbridge Island, a small island off Puget Sound, and Malibu, in the Ed Niles shopping complex near Zuma Beach.
New photos posted to Studio Bracket’s website for one of their latest projects, a “Paradise Cove Residence”, lists the owner simply as an “art collector.”
Indeed the property, which DiCaprio has been designing since he purchased the 1.76 acre lot [from Mark Burnett in 2017](https://www.realtor.com/news/celebrity-real-estate/leo-dicaprio-buys-malibu-property/), appears to feature art as a central design language.
New photos show the primary bedroom is adjoined by a private art gallery. Housing newsletter North Hillcrest is reporting DiCaprio and his designers have already chosen pieces from his [extensive private collection](https://news.artnet.com/art-world/leonardo-dicaprios-art-collection-275860) for the gallery, including pieces by Basquiat, Picasso, Ed Ruscha, Frank Stella, Salvador Dalí and Takashi Murakami.
Other unique details include a grass’covered roof and greenhouse.
North Hillcrest guesses the house is still a year or two from completion. When DiCaprio moves in, [his neighbors](https://www.wsj.com/real-estate/luxury-homes/inside-billionaires-bluff-why-paradise-cove-keeps-drawing-the-superrich-5cc080a1) will include Jay-Z and Beyoncé, whose $190 million estate is a few doors down, Marc Andreessen, and Laurene Powell Jobs, who is building a reported $400 million home directly above the Paradise Cove Beach Café.
