Dog Left in Hot Car

Police responded to a possible animal welfare call at a shopping center on Las Virgenes Canyon Rd. in Calabasas around 1 p.m. today, after a small dog was reported left inside a hot vehicle.

Callers indicated the dog was in a white Ford Bronco parked in a handicapped space in the PetSmart lot, with the window barely open in the heat. It's unclear if the animal was reached or the owner located.
