A bat-wielding man wielding was arrested near Abbot Kinney just before 1 p.m. today, after reportedly striking street signs and telephone poles.

Reports indicate the suspect used a metal bat to strike street signs and a telephone pole near Abbot Kinney Blvd., and was later spotted near Venice Blvd. The man was described as having red paint on his face. Witnesses reported vandalism only, and no injuries.
