Callers reported a man with a big knife near De Soto Ave.

A man reportedly walking with a knife prompted a Code 3 emergency response in Woodland Hills this afternoon. Police responded to De Soto Ave. near Victory Blvd. today around 3 p.m., after multiple callers described a man walking down the street carrying a large knife, possibly a machete.

Officers requested additional units to stand by at a location on De Soto Ave. Radio traffic later indicated a suspect was taken into custody and the situation declared under control.
