Raising Cane's Coming to T.O.

Raising Cane's will open its first Thousand Oaks restaurant on August 10, planting its flag on a stretch of Moorpark Rd. locals have dubbed "Chicken Row."

The chicken finger chain is taking over the former Amy's Drive Thru at 400 N. Moorpark Rd., a short-lived vegetarian spot that itself replaced the longtime Mimi's Café. The [quarter-mile stretch](https://www.toacorn.com/articles/popular-chicken-eatery-fingers-former-vegetarian-drive-thru-site/) between Brazil St. and Wilbur Rd. is already home to Chick-fil-A, Wingstop, Angry Chickz, Zankou Chicken and El Pollo Loco.

The Thousand Oaks location is [one of seven new restaurants](https://www.qsrmagazine.com/news/raising-canes-announces-continued-expansion-in-august/) Raising Cane's is opening across six states this August, part of the Baton Rouge-based chain's 30th anniversary expansion. Until now, the closest locations for Conejo Valley fans have been Northridge, Oxnard and Canoga Park.
