It’s not often you see paparazzi in Malibu anymore. Blame social media, zoomer taste. But decreasing appetites for celebrity candids have proven palpable in Malibu, where famous residents now go about their days largely unphotographed.
Except for Shirley MacLaine.

For comparison, two of Malibu’s most famous residents, Lady Gaga and Leonardo DiCaprio, have been photographed by paparazzi in the city three times in the last two years, combined.
It’s a phenomenon attributable perhaps to the firm credited with many of MacLaine’s photos.
