Student Arrested Over Threat to Asian Pacific Club at Pierce College

The 20-year-old man is the club's president.

A computer science undergrad at Pierce College was [arrested last week,](https://www.nbclosangeles.com/news/local/woodland-hills-school-threat-arrest/3936583/) after allegedly posting a threat online targeting the university's Asian Pacific Island Club, which he's the president of.

Officials provided scant information on the arrest, saying only a 20-year-old student had been taken into custody after publishing a threat to a university social club that he was a member of, declining to name the school, or club. However arrest records show the school's address as Pierce College in Woodland Hills. And the school's ASO website, a directory of the college's clubs, listed the suspect's name as the president of the Asian Pacific Island Club.

A LinkedIn profile shows the suspect graduated from Chatsworth High School in 2024 as a valedictorian, earning a 4.0. Since enrolling at Pierce College, where he is currently a sophomore, the student has been active in student clubs, including the Active TECH Club and the Muslim Student Association, where he served as treasurer.

Attempts to locate the alleged threat's digital footprint were unsuccessful. However NBC4 is reporting the threat was discovered on Monday night, and flagged to school administrators the next morning, who made the call.

It's unclear whether the suspect is in custody. Police said the investigation remains ongoing.
