Truck Crashes Into PCH Building

One person was trapped.

A work truck reportedly lost its brakes and crashed into a small one-story commercial building near PCH and Chautauqua Blvd. around 11:33 a.m. this morning, prompting a Code 3 rescue response.

Radio traffic indicated one person was trapped in the vehicle, with firefighters working to free the patient while responders checked the building for anyone else inside. An ambulance and multiple units were dispatched, and the truck was reported stable.

Traffic control from city departments and police was requested for the area. No additional information was immediately available.
